What is the IOSS, and what is IOSS used for?

From 1 July 2021, all goods imported into the EU from a third country or third territory is subject to VAT irrespective of their value.The IOSS allows suppliers and electronic interfaces selling imported goods to buyers in the EU to collect, declare and pay the VAT to the tax authorities.The IOSS number can facilitate and simplify the declaration and payment of VAT for goods valued at less than EUR 150(include 150EUR) which would expedite customs clearance.

Remark: The VAT you need pay for your parcel, will be computed automatically in the system according to the actural value of all items and the tax rate of the destination countries.

2.Shipping suggestions for does not pre-paid VAT through Citygobuy’s IOSS

We recommended to use DDU(Delivered Duty Unpaid) for parcel without our IOSS number.
Please complete contact information to make sure the recipient is going to be reached by local customs.
*This solution may have the risk from being returned/withheld/inspected etc., or even being charged with VAT as well as the handling fee,which will be subjected by the local customs policy.

IOSS number does not cover the shipment of these goods valued more than EUR 150, so when parcel which valued exceed 150EUR arrived in your country you will be required to pay import tax according to local customs laws.
